Celebrate Father's Day 2014
Dancing with my Dad.... Celebrate your Dad this Father's Day ( June 15) if you can, spend some time together. We ship almost all the flavors on our menu anywhere in the US and deliver in the St.Louis area. Fresh Fruit & Fresh Flavors Welcome Summer With a Fresh Pie & Old Favorites with the Retro-Pie
Longer days, a chorus of birds before sunrise, a chorus of frogs at dusk, are just a few welcome indicators that SUMMER is here. With a fiercer winter than most behind us, seeing mosquitoes, weeds and poison ivy isn't so bad either. Although there is year-round availability of most produce these days, I'm sentimental for the seasons. Buying a box of fresh blueberries in February just does not appeal to me. Rhubarb Pie Brings A Lot To The Table
There has always been a place in my heart for rhubarb one of the most tart plants in the garden. Some say it is a fruit, some say an herb, others a vegetable. I think of it as a perineal vegetable similar to asparagus. I'm sentimental about rhubarb because my father had a beautiful garden where he raised asparagus and rhubarb. Every evening this time of year we would take a knife and metal colander and go out to this garden to cut the amount we wanted for Dinner. It was a matter of minutes before a platter of beautiful steamed...
